New MCP connector lets retailers, brands, and processors ask Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible AI plain-language questions about their own point-of-sale or brand data; available a la carte or as part of the new POSaBIT Premium package.

This launch is also paired with a sitewide user interface redesign of POSaBIT’s back-end merchant portal, making everyday store management cleaner and more intuitive.

TORONTO & SEATTLE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–POSaBIT Systems Corporation (CSE: PBIT, OTC: POSAF) (“POSaBIT” or the “Company”), a leading provider of point-of-sale and payments technology for the cannabis industry, today announced the launch of the new POSaBIT AI MCP server, a new connector built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that gives retailers and brands direct access to their store data through the AI assistants they already use.

The POSaBIT MCP server is built on MCP, the open standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible tools connect securely to outside data sources. Once connected, a user can ask their AI assistant plain-language questions about their own store data and get an immediate answer, with no dashboards, filters, or reports required. A store manager can ask, “What were my top 20 products last month?”; a buyer can ask, “What runs out before the weekend?”; a marketing team can ask, “Who hasn’t been in for 60 days?”

“The POSaBIT MCP server puts the power of AI directly in the hands of the people running these businesses, without them needing to learn a new tool or pull a report,” said Ryan Hamlin, Co-Founder and CEO of POSaBIT. “Our retailers and brand partners are already using Claude or ChatGPT every day. Now those same assistants can answer questions about their own store data in seconds, and because it’s read-only, they can do that with complete confidence that their data stays safe.”

The POSaBIT MCP server is available today to POSaBIT’s point-of-sale customers as well as to Brand, Producer, and Processor customers on the POSaBIT Brands platform. It can be purchased a la carte or included as part of POSaBIT Premium, the Company’s top-tier bundle of add-on products. Retailers and brands interested in the POSaBIT MCP server can email sales@posabit.com to schedule a demo.

The launch adds the POSaBIT MCP server to a growing lineup of products connecting cannabis retailers and brands to the modern software tools they rely on, and reflects the Company’s continued investment in giving customers faster, easier ways to use their own data.

Alongside the POSaBIT MCP server, the Company is also rolling out a refreshed look and feel across its back-end merchant portal. The update modernizes the interface retailers and brands use every day, with a cleaner layout and simpler navigation, and no change to the underlying functionality.
